THE GARDA Traffic Corps in Donegal has launched a crackdown on motorists in the county who are not up to date with tax, insurance and NCT certificates.
A number of checkpoints in recent days has seen the detection of numerous offences.
The latest checkpoint was this morning at Burt.
Gardai stopped and checked hundreds of vehicles travelling on the main road between Letterkenny and Derry.
In recent days similar checkpoints have sprung up on the Letterkenny to Glenties road as well as outside Donegal Town and Ballybofey.
Another check was carried out on the road between Gaoth Dobhair and Dunlewey.
GoSafe speed detection vans are also operating across the county today.
