Termon GAA Notes: Week Ending 01/04/12

Membership

Annual Membership is now due for renewal. All players, managers and coaches must have membership to be involved with the club. Adult membership with lotto is €80 for adults and €60 for students. Anyone wishing to purchase a Club Donegal ticket which permits access to all men’s club games in the county free of charge can do so for €200 including your club membership. Contact Essie McGrenra for more details on 086 154 2045.

Minor Board:

Underage training continues this Friday evening 6th March in the Craoibhin centre in Termon.

6 – 7pm.       U6 & U8 Boys & Girls Squads will train between

7 – 8pm        U10 and U12 girls coaching will take place.

The club would like to thank all parents who have registered their child with the club, any parent wishing to do so can do it between 6-9pm this Friday at the Craoibhin, Termon. Any queries contact your child’s coach or Eddie Harkin, minor board Chairman on 086 608 2512.

 

The U10 Boys have a game on Friday evening at the Burn Road against Glenswilly; all players are asked to be there for 5.45pm.

 

The Minor boys start their season this Friday away to Milford at 7pm. Good luck to all involved.

 

 

Ladies Board:
Congratulations to Geraldine McLaughlin who was presented with Donegal Ladies Player of the year for 2011 on Friday night at the county banquet.
The Senior and Junior ladies begin their league season this week. The Senior ladies travel to Ballyshannon on Good Friday to take on Aodh Ruadh at 6.15 while the Junior ladies take on Cloughaneely on Sunday at 12 noon at the Burn Road.

 

U14 girls: Termon were defeated by Milford last Tuesday by 3-9 to 3-6. Best for Termon was Andrea Murray, Lauren McElwaine and Hannah Downey. The girl’s next match is away to St. Eunans on Tuesday the 3rd of April. All support appreciated.

 

Good luck to Lauren McElwaine (captain) and Meabh McDaid who are part of the Donegal under14 ladies team who play Mayo this Saturday.
 
Congratulations to Kilmacrennan N.S girls and boys team who are through to the county final of the Cumnnan na Bunscoil competition.

 

 

Senior Men:

Both teams travelled to Ballyshannon last Saturday evening with our Seniors recording an important away victory while our reserves were defeated.

The Reserve and Senior teams continue their league season underway this Saturday at home to Red Hughes at 5.00 and 6.30pm respectively. All support would be appreciated.

 

Congratulations to Michael Boyle on being named on the Sigerson team of the year for 2011/2012. Michael picked up his second Sigerson medal this year and is the only Donegal man named on the team.

 

 

Lotto:

The Lotto draw took place in place in Lagoon on Friday last. The numbers were 3,12,13 and 16. Aidain McGrenra matched 3 numbers and won €80. Open draw winners were Johnny McCafferty and Dara Kelly who both won €10 each. Next week’s draw takes place in McClaffertys Bar, Churchill. The jackpot is now €2100.
