Naomh Mhuire

The Seniors and Reserves played host to Glenfin on Monday last. The Seniors were level at half time but Glenfin proved a little too strong in the second half to run out winners. The Reserves also struggled to convert their possession and Glenfin won by nine in the end. This weekend sees both teams travel to Falcarragh to take on Cloughaneely on Sunday.

The under 16 boys played Dungloe on Monday night and put in a good effort. This team is improving as the season progresses. The minors are out in the league this Friday evening.

The ladies had their first game of the season against Kilcar with final score – Kilcar 5-07 Naomh Mhuire 2-03. With one of the youngest teams every to play Junior ladies for the club on Friday evening in Kilcar, we may lost this match but the girls put up a display on any other day would have won the game. Maith sibh our club has a bright future with the talented players we have coming through. Thanks to the supporters who travelled up to cheer the girls on. Training is on Tuesday and Thursday at 8.30 in the Banks.

Congratulations to Naomh Mhuire Club player and Kincasslagh man Ciaran Doherty on winning the World Master’s 3000 metres in Finland.

Lotto details for week 4th April. Jackpot 1460 euro. No jackpot winner. There was three match 3 winners: Johhny den – Rann Na Feirste, Aodh Beag – Rann Na Feirste agus Jimmy Doherty – Knoc-a-stolair. Numbers were 11-12-14-16.

As this was the last draw for this 12 month cycle of for the 100 Club, we will be commencing a new run starting at the end of April, as always we are looking for new members. Can the 100 Club sellers check how many of their members are going into the new draw for our next cycle and let the finance committee know ASAP. This is a vital fundraiser in the running of the club for the year, so we are making a special appeal to members to join and help push the club forward.
