Naomh Columba 16/04/2012

Well done to our seniors and reserves who recorded two important wins in Buncrana on Saturday evening last: Reserves: Naomh Columba 1.11 Buncrana 2.06. Seniors: Naomh Columba 0.12 Buncrana 0.11. This weekend sees two fixtures, starting with a home fixture v Aodh Ruadh on Friday evening. Throw-in times 6.30pm and 7.45pm. Sunday sees us heading to Downings, for 1.30pm and 3pm throw-ins. Our ladies are also due to commence their league campaign this weekend, away to Na Cealla Beaga. At the time of going to press the game was planned for Saturday, check locally for confirmation. We wish all teams the best of luck over the weekend. Our underage teams have a busy week of games ahead: The minors are set to travel to Mountcharles on Wed 18th, for a league clash v Naomh Náille. 7pm throw-in. Also on Wednesday our under 14 lads play host to Naomh Bríd, with a 7pm throw-in at Páirc na nGael. Our under 16 lads contest the league semi final on Monday week, April 23rd, with a game v St Nauls. The game is set for Glenties, with further details to be confirmed. Our under 14 girls will travel to Towney on Tuesday night next, April 24th, for a league clash with Cill Chartha, throw-in at 6.30pm. Regarding underage results, the under 16 lads commenced their championship campaign on Monday evening, when they suffered defeat to Na Rossa in the first leg of the preliminary round. Better luck in the second leg lads! Our minors were unlucky in Friday evening’s league clash with Aodh Ruadh, and suffered defeat after a promising start. The club wish to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who made the Easter camp such a success, and in particular Michael Byrne (Cook), for his sponsorship of hoodies for the children. Cúrsaí lotto: ní raibh sé buaite le linn na seachtaine seo caite. Ba iad na huimhreacha a tháinig amach ná 11. 12. 23. 29. Tá duaischiste de €3400 againn don tseachtain seo, agus guímid buíochas libh go léir as ucht bhur dtacaíocht don lotto!
