The u8s, u10s and u12s continue their training on Saturday morning. The minors are away to Bundoran on Friday night.

The summer league will start on Friday 27th April at 5.30pm in the banks and continue every Friday for 7/8 weeks. Teams will be posted on the website next week.

The Seniors played Killybegs on Friday evening last and ended in a draw after a fine performance by all. On Sunday, Seniors and Reserves travelled to Ballintra with N. Brid the hosts. The Reserves got their first win of the season with a strong second half display. The Seniors went down by four points in the end. This weekend sees Fanad Gaels travel to the Banks on Sunday with Reserves at 1:30 and Seniors at 3pm.

Peil na mBan – Ladies, Minor and U16 Training is on Tuesday and Thursdays at 8pm in the Banks. Next match for the ladies team is away to St.Nauls on Sun. 29th with a 12 noon throw in.

U14 Girls had a hard earned victory over near neighbours Gaoth Dobhair on Tuesday night in the league.

Comhghairdeas dó Sarah Doherty who won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze and Ailbe O’Donnell who won Bronze at the Indoor sportshall athletics meeting in Birmingham on Saturday Representing Donegal. Both these girls play u14 girls for Naomh Mhuire and Donegal u14 teams.

The Club are organising a Scrap Saturday on Saturday May 5th. This is where we ask all from the area to bring along any old scrap metal to the GAA Club and we will separate it before off-loading it to a recognised recycling company. The Club benefits from this and uses the money raised for forthcoming developments such as the building of additional dressing rooms, improved coaching etc. The public who take the scrap down can get rid of metal which is gathering and by doing so are helping the Club and its youth.

Lotto details for week 18th April. Jackpot 1640 euro. No jackpot winner. There was five match 3 winners:

Patrick McGinley – Coilceim, Tony Doherty – Rann na Feirste, Joseph Gillespie – Mullachdubh, Madge Sharkey – Coilceim, Ailbe Ni Chomhnai – Rann na Feirste.

Very positive response to the Naomh Mhuire 100 Club for 2012. New members have joined up, including those living in the USA and the UK. Collectors are asked to confirm with last year’s members for 2012. Monthly draw is €20 with half going back in cash prizes to members. Check out details on www.naomhmhuire.ie.
