WILL COLEMAN GET A SEAT ON TRAP’S PLANE?

Today is one of the biggest days in the lives of many of the Donegal contingent on the Republic of Ireland soccer team.

Manager Giovanni Trapattoni picks his 23 man squad for the upcoming European Championships in Poland and the Ukraine.

Players with Donegal connections including Lifford man Shay Given and Aidan McGeady will be certain of a place on Trap’s plane.

However, Killybegs man Seamus Coleman will be left sweating until after 2.30pm to see if he has made the grade.

The cards looks stacked against the Everton star after a recent injury left him short of first team action at Everton.

And with the Ireland manager having just eight midfielders to pick form at least fourteen possible players, Coleman could be left hard done by.
