TRAFFIC MEASURES PUT IN PLACE AS HUGE CROWD EXPECTED FOR DONEGAL LIVE EVENT

With a huge crowd expected in Donegal Town this weekend for the Donegal Live event, organisers have undertaken a plan to manage the crowds.

Fans of top acts including Alexandra Burke have been asked to follow traffic and crowd control measures to ensure a successful event.

The following are the measures which have been put in place to ensure a successful and safe weekend for all concerned.

1.Quay St. car park limited parking from Tuesday 22nd May to Tuesday 29th May.

2.During Concerts on Diamond on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th, and Sunday 27th from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm the following parking and traffic restrictions will be in place.

3.Taxis will be available on Bank of Ireland side of Diamond.

4.Bus Eireann set down and departures on Quay St. above entrance to car park.

5.No parking in Diamond area.

6.Two way traffic on Bank of Ireland and O Donnell’s Bar side of Diamond.

7.Abbey Hotel side of Diamond Closed to Traffic.

8.These traffic restrictions may be changed by Gardaí .

9.Parking for the tourism promotion event on the Pier and the Live Concerts on the Diamond will be available in other car parks in the town and free parking will be available at Four Masters GAA Pitch, Donegal Fruit Drumlonagher, and the Mart behind the St John Bosco Centre.

10.The Donegal Live Organising Committee would like to thank the public in advance for there cooperation and assistance in making this event the success that it will be, if anyone would like to volunteer and help out over the weekend please contact any member of the committee.
