DONEGAL JOCKEY TAKES ANOTHER STRIDE TOWARDS THE BIG TIME!

Young Donegal jockey Martin Harley has showed why he is being tipped to follow in the footsteps of some of Ireland’s top riders.

Martin from Trentagh, won the Irish 1,000 Guineas at The Curragh on board Samitar – a 12-1 shot.

And there was also another Donegal connection to the wonderful win.

The horse is trained by former soccer star Mick Channon who once lined out at Finn Park for Finn Harps.

Channon was full of praise for young Harley whom he said he felt would win many more races in the not-too-distant future.

Martin was last year’s Champion Apprentice Jockey and is being talked about by horse trainers and owners alike.
