SAD PASSING OF NAOMH MHUIRE’S FINBAR MCBRIDE

The Lower Rosses lost one of it’s great characters today with the death of Finbar Mc Bride. Finbar was a gentleman and a great servant of his beloved Naomh Mhuire GAA Club.

Ill health may not have allowed him to be out and about as often as he would have liked to in recent times but he still drove down and sat in the car watching recent matches…..where the occasional “roar” or two from the car could be heard.

Down through the years, he was dedicated to the club as well as to the Annagry band. He gave nothing but 100% at all times.

Naomh Mhuire, the Annagry band, his card playing friends, his neighbours and friends will all miss him Finbar but of course his family will be those who will miss him most and it is his family that all sympathy is extended.

Everyone in the community and away from home have joined through the day in shock and sadness at the passing Finbar.

This picture of Finbar and his comrade Danny Kay was taken at a Donegal game in Croke Park in 2010.

Removal from McGlynn’s Funeral Home, Chapel Road Dungloe this evening (Tues) at 9pm going to his late residence.

Funeral arrangements later.

House is private from 11pm to 9am.
