RESIDENTS in several areas of north Donegal have complained about overnight incidents where boy racers have taken to the roads.
Readers reported cars rallying on rural roads near Illistrin, Ramelton, Milford and Rathmullan.
Gardai were said to be out in force in a bid to prevent such incidents.
“I don’t care what the organisers of the Donegal rally say, there were boys out until after 3 o’clock this morning and they are young men who are copying what they see during those races,” said one reader in Milford.
Another resident near Ramelton said several cars had raced around the rural roads in the area “most of the night.”
She added: “It’s the same every year – these idiots will be out now for the next few weeks thinking they can drive like maniacs.”
