DDTV: FRIENDS have paid a poignant online video tribute to a Co Donegal man killed in a tragic van crash in the county earlier this month.
Convoy man Stephen McElwaine died at Letterkenny General Hospital last Monday, two days after the crash
He was a passenger in a van that overturned on the Drumkeen to Stranorlar road at at Ballinaglack last Saturday.
Mr McElwaine’s mother was rushing home from a holiday in Canada when he passed away in Letterkenny General Hospital today.
Friends have now paid tribute to Stephen with a poignant video showing him out with friends on a horse-riding trek.
“We wanted to share these happy memories with everyone,” said a close friend who contacted donegaldaily.com.
“Most of us still can’t believe he is gone.
“Obviously all his friends and relatives are just devastated, but if I knew Stephen he would have wanted people to remember the good times.
“This video has some of the good times.”
