LADIES OUT IN FORCE FOR THE ULTIMATE SUMMER PARTY AT THE RADISSON

It was a night of glamour and fun at the Ultimate Summer Party in conjunction with Slim R Us at the Radisson Blu Hotel Letterkenny as funds were raised for the Letterkenny Women’s Centre.

Karen McGlinchey set up Slim R Us a year ago and holds classes in Termon, Ramelton, Ballybofey and Letterkenny, to celebrate her members success Karen held a Summer Party Night which included a Fashion Show from Clare Clothing, Paco, New Look, Marks & Spencer & High Society Dress Emporium.

All of the models are members of Slim R Us and have all successfully lost weight and enjoyed their debut on the catwalk in all of the fabulous style from each of the shops.

Guests were greeted with bubbly and nibbles and had the opportunity to browse around the exhibits including Kara Gems, Atlantic Crafts. Catriona McElhinney, I Want Candy, Bling & Things, Forever Living Products, Ann Summers, Carol Natural Beauty, Freshair, Stellar Photography, all of whom donated prizes for the raffle along with Nearys Pharmacy, Beauty Parlour and Rebecca’s Hair Creation.

Roisin Kavanagh from the Women’s Centre gave a talk about all the work that the Women Centre are involved in and explained how funds have now been stopped and all of their work is carried out voluntarily so they are extremely thankful for the support. All of the guests were treated to a surprise performance from Letterkenny’s very own Jason Friel who performed in the Rte Star Search and Ulster Teen Idol , everyone was moved by his Ed Sheeran and Gareth Brooks Performance.

Elaine McIntyre would like to thank all of the models for such a fantastic achievement and for making the evening such a success with the support of all their family and friends, thanks to Petermark and Siobhan Boyle for looking after all the hair and make up for each of the models.

Thanks to all of the businesses for the Raffle prizes, thank you to Jason Friel for his outstanding performance, special thanks to the press, thanks to Celebrationz for the beautiful decor, thanks to Suellen Heneghan and Patricia Doherty for all their assistance during the event, thanks to DJWJ for his upbeat music throughout the show and during the disco, thanks to Roisin Kavanagh from the Women’s Centre and special thanks to Karen McGlinchey and of course thanks to all who supported the event.
