Donegal NY’s Intermediate team continued their march toward silverware Sunday with a 4-10 to 2-10 win over a gallant Sligo squad.
Overcoming a 17th July hiccup of a loss to Long Island Gaels (0-7 – 1-6), Tir Chonaill were given outstanding play from veterans Eamonn Gunn, PJ Flanagan, and Ciaran Tavey to chalk up the victory and remain atop the table. Next up for Pat McGill’s lads are Roscommon on 15th August and Monaghan on the 19th. And then it’s into the play-offs and the season’s goal of the NY crown and promotion back to Senior ranks.
