There are no games scheduled for the adult football teams this weekend with the Donegal v Cork All-Ireland semi-final looming in Croke Park on Sunday week. Anyone that wants to order tickets must place their order with Charlie McAteer (087-2668633) before 5pm this Wednesday (August 15th).
The U21’s had a good win over MacCumhaills in the championship in a close game. They will meet the winners of the Killybegs v Kilcar game in the quarter-finals.
The Minor boys met Urris in their Northern Championship quarter-final 2nd leg in the Park on Tuesday evening. After a very narrow win in the 1st leg, a tough game is anticipated. See next week’s notes for details of the result. They are also awaiting a League semi-final fixture against Aodh Rua.
The U14 Div. 1 boys take on Buncrana in the Northern Championship Final this Friday, August 17th in Convoy. Throw-in is currently listed for 7:30pm.
Well done to Conor Morrison, Michael Miller, Davis Tyrell and Conal O’Boyle who were members of Donegal’s Buncrana Cup winning team.
GAA President, Liam O’Neill will visit O’Donnell Park next Monday, August 20th at 2pm as the Club Launches the Peace III Coaching Initiative. The club will also be making a special announcement in conjunction with all National Schools in the greater Letterkenny area about an exciting upcoming Fundraiser. Anyone that wants to come along is welcome to attend.
The U16 Hurlers lost at home to Aodh Rua despite a spirited display throughout. They play at home this Thursday against Buncrana.
The U12 Hurlers had a good win away to Aodh Rua last Thursday. They have a game this Thursday. Details at training.
The Friday evening Hurling & Camogie Academy returns this Friday, August 17th at 6:30pm.
The Sunday Morning Football Academy also returns this week (August 19th) at 11am. It will not be on the day of Donegal’s semi-final v Cork to allow people to travel to the match.
Money is now being collected for the Club Ties for those still to pay. If you ordered one and still haven’t got it, contact Paul McGovern on 086-8114151 to arrange collection. There are still a limited number available for anyone that wants to get their hands on one.
