Naomh Conaill have launched their inaugural 5K with the help of two of the Donegal stars who are aiming to down the rebel county at the weekend.

Leo Mc Loone and Dermot ‘Brick’ Molloy were delighted to row in behind the club’s first 5K Road Race Fun Run/Walk.

“I think it’s great that we are holding such an event, especially now when so many people are getting out on the road, whether its walking or running, it’s just great to see” Leo said.

‘Brick’ Molloy added “We’re delighted to be here at the launch and we would call on everybody to come out and participate in this fun evening. It doesn’t matter if you’re walking or running, it’s all about taking part”.

The 5K takes place on Tuesday 28th August @ 7pm at the Naomh Conaill clubhouse in Glenties. Registration is from 6pm. There is ample car parking and full changing/shower facilities available.

Tea and refreshments will be served immediately after the run. Entry is €7 and under 16’s are free. A bouncy castle will also be on site to keep all ages amused.

So it doesn’t matter if you are looking to better your best time on 5k’s or if you want to just come along with the buggy for a stroll, the Naomh Conaill G.A.A. Clubhouse is the place to be on Tuesday 28th August.
