DONEGAL fans were furious tonight after huge delays returning home from Dublin – caused by people handing out leaflets.
Supporters were stuck in two-mile long tailbacks through Strabane.
Many thought it was a security checkpoint, or perhaps a car accident.
But when they got over the Lifford Bridge they met a number of people handing out leaflets.
“I don’t know what they hell the leaflets were for because I didn’t take one. I was so angry after another half hour was added to our very long trip to Dublin that I drove on in disgust,” said one angry motorist.
Another one told us: “There’s a time and place to do stuff like this but not at half past ten at night when you’re trying to get your kids home. It reminded me of the Troubles again when there were always tailbacks of traffic there.”
