A large crowd is expected to pay their last respects to Andrew Duffy who will be buried in his native Termon today.

The 24 year old Donegal fan tragically drowned when he slipped and fell into a canal in Dublin after attending last Sunday’s semi-final game at Croke Park.

Andrew, a well-known and hugely-respected young farmer, is survived by his loving mother Margaret, father John and sisters Leanna and Caroline.

Huge crowds have been paying their respects to the Duffy family at their home in Goaldrum since Andrew’s remains were taken home to Donegal for burial on Tuesday evening.

Among those who turned up to pay their respects were members of the Donegal senior team squad including manager Jim McGuinness.

Andrew’s funeral Mass takes place at St Columba’s Church at noon.

May he rest in peace.
