RESULTS

Sean Mac Cumhaills V St Michaels.

1st Round Championship. 2nd Leg.

Mac Cumhaills went into this match with a point to St Michaels. With last weeks result still stinging, Mac Cumhaills needed to win this match.

From the throw in Mac Cumhaills fought for every ball. It was nip and tuck for the whole of the half and this was reflected in the HT score.

Mac Cumhaills 0-06. St Michaels 0-07.

The second half was more of the same apart from from very strange decisions from the referee. Mac Cumhaills couldn’t buy a free. A goal by Darren O Leary brought the game level in the 51st min. The game was in the balance but Mac Cumhaills let in a soft goal and St Michaels tagged on a few points. Mac Cumhaills battled to the end and can be proud of their performance today. Final score was Sean Mac Cumhaills 1-08 St Michaels 1-15.

Scorers. Marty O Reilly 0-03(1f),Darren O Leary 1-00,Chris Gallen 0-01,Steven O Reilly0-01, Darren Mc Gowan 0-01,Andrew Gallagher 0-02.

Sean Mac Cumhaill V St Michaels

1st Round Reserve Championship 2nd Leg

This was another must win match for Séan Mac Cumhaills, but unfortunately we came out the wrong side of this result. There was a good team performance from Mac Cumhaills and with a bit of luck in front of goals today, it would be a different result. Hard luck lads.

Sean Mac Cumhaills V Strabane Shamrocks Senior Hurling Ulster Championship.

Full Time Result. Mac Cumhaills 1-08 Strabane Shamrocks 0-14

Under 13 Football

Our boys travelled to Buncrana on Friday evening to play Buncrana in a rescheduled match. Under the lights in The Scarvey Mac CUmhaills played a game of two very different halves. Down by 8 points at half time, Mac Cumhaills came into their own in the second half. In a pulsating game that had all the delights of fast moving football, long range points and plenty of goals(ten in all)Mac Cumhaills ran out the eventual winners. Final Score was Buncrana 5-06 Sean Mac Cumhaills 5-13. We take on Gweedore on Wed at 5.00pm.The winners will play Buncrana in the semi final Mon week. Give the lads your support. Well done lads.

Minor Ladies Football Quarter Final Championship

Our girls put in a great team performance but came up against a very strong Four Masters side.Whilst Mac Cumhaills had equal pocession, Four Masters were far more clinical in front of the goals, taking all their opportunities. Unfortunately this puts us out of the championship. The girls should take some solace, in that they played very well and never gave up till the end. hard luck girls.
