The second round of the cross country season took place last Sunday in Killybegs for Donegal uneven ages and Novice. There was a large team up from the club and well done to all for participating and coming along to support and help. The ladies novice team ran very well to get fourth with a team including Noreen McGee, Deirdre Diver, Eilise Gillespie, Sharon Wilson and Grace Garvey. All children must be registered with the club to run.Training on Wednesday and Friday nights from 6pm to 7pm – all welcome. Sportshall Athletics continues Mondays in Ionad Spóirt na Rosann gym at Rosses Community School gym in Dungloe from 6.45 to 7.45 pm. Fee is €10 for five Monday night sessions or €15 per family. Events include sprints, relays, standing long jump, speed bounce, ball throw, javelin and shot putt. Training continues on Wednesday and Friday from 6-7pm at Mullaghderg. Due to large numbers we do need help and parents to stay and help with supervision. Two euro per child. There will be a Coaching Course in Donegal Town this Saturday for hurdles, sprints and high jump. Contact Ita for details.
