More than seventy secondary school students came to see Beo: Battle of the bands recently in Letterkenny.

The hope was to win an all-expenses paid trip to Wexford to perform at the launch of ‘Comórtas Beo 2012/2013’. The atmosphere was electric as the eight competing bands battled it out.

The audience went wild as they listened to bands such as ‘Apollo 6’ performing originals and covers of well- known music. Other bands included Insanity, Jamican Vampires, Kyle O’Neill and the pocketnotes , The Candela Ways , The Capitol , The Matthew Trainor Experience and Transit Getaway. After much deliberation by the audience, the band that came out on top were the ‘Jamican Vampires’.

Jamican Vampires wowed the audience with their outstanding and remarkable performance. They will now perform at Beo in Wexford on Friday ,the 19th of October. There will be performances by bands such as Bamboo Party and many more. It will be a night to remember. Transition Year students from Coláiste Ailigh ,The Loreto Convent and St.Eunans will also be hitting the road. Let the battles begin.
