GAA: NAOMH MHUIRE GAA CLUB NEWS

Training for under 6s under 8s and under 10s continues on Saturday mornings at the banks from 10am  – 11am. The Seniors and Reserves have their last home game this weekend at home to N. Brid this Sunday with a 1:30 and 3pm throw. Last weekend both teams travelled to MacCumhaills and both ended up on the wrong side of narrow defeats despite good performances.

Peil na mBan; The minors bowed of of the championship on Sat 20th to St.Michaels in the semi-final played in Falcarragh. The u16s are still waiting for a date to be finalised to play the county final v St’Eunans so keep an eye out on the web and facebook page for details. The u13 county dev. squads are progressing and our girls are doing really well. Check out the Mayors page, Bord na nÓg or Ladies page on Facebook for Details of the Big halloween shindig at the clubhouse Wed. 31st.

A big Halloween surprise in the clubhouse on 31st October at 6:30pm – more details to follow.

We ran the first of our Child Awareness and Protection last Friday evening in the clubhouse with 17 members taking part – 12 new to the course and 5 were refreshers. Michael McMenamin Co. Developement officer was an excellent tutor. There will be another course run before christmas and the Childrens officer will be in touch with anyone who has signed up to do a course. We hope to have a first-Aid and De-Fib course up and running as soon as dates can be finalised.
