BALLYSHANNON MAN APPOINTED TO TRUST OF THE IRISH TIMES

Well-known Ballyshannon native Peter McLoone has been appointed to the trust of the Irish Times.

Mr McLoone is the former secretary of the Impact trade union which he served form 1995 to his retirement in 2010.

He is also a board member of the Labour Relations Commission and is on the governing body of the National College of Ireland.

He is a brother of former county manager Michael McLoone.
