A compensation package of €68,500 to workers laid-off from a Buncrana call-centre has been withdrawn.
A total of 30 workers at the Assetco Managed Services centre in Lisfannon had been made the offer in return for files they held on behalf of London Fire Brigade.
The group, who had been offered no redundancy package, were hoping they would receive an increased offer.
However the offer has now been pulled leaving them without any compensation.
Staff say they are gutted coming up to Christmas and day the situation has been handled very badly.
“We just don’t know what we are going to do now. It has been handled really badly.
“All we were looking for was some kind of fair pay and now we have been left high and dry.
“We don’t even know now if there was ever really an offer on the table at all.
“KPMG came back to us and said the offer had been withdrawn but we never even saw an offer on paper.
“What way is this to treat people just before Christmas,” asked the Assetco spokesman.
