AGM: Buncrana GAA will hold its Executive Annual General Meeting on Sunday 25th November 2012 in the Club House at 5pm.

Sam Maguire Photographs: Photographs of the Sam Maguire taken in the Plaza on Sunday 28th October by Angela Tourish can now be collected. Please phone 0863068662 to arrange collection.

Ryan Bradley Coaching Sessions: Ryan Bradley GAA Coaching Sessions for under 6’s are taking place every Saturday in Crana College, with children asked to be present at 11.15am. A €2 contribution will be used exclusively to purchase equipment and gear for participating children. The sessions focus on fun, enjoyment, participation, balance, coordination and basic skill of football and hurling.

U8 Football: Under 8 football coaching sessions are taking place in Crana College on Friday nights at 6.30 and all are welcome.

Senior Football: Our Senior Footballers traveled to Termon on Sunday afternoon and we’re unfortunately to only come away with a draw. Buncrana started brightly and went into a three points to one lead after ten minutes. Darach O’Connor, Ryan Currran and Garbhan Friel were particularly lively inside, winning plenty of possession from good passes from Odhran Doherty, Patrick McMyler and Kevin O’Loughlin. Termon responded to create a goal chance, however Noel O’Donnell pulled off a great save to deny the home side. Unfortunately Noel was unable to deny them a second time just before halftime, which meant the sides went in level at halftime. HT Termon 1-2 Buncrana 0-5. Termon came out fighting early in the second half and began to cause problems for the Buncrana defence, registering an early point. However the introduction of Paul McGonigle at full proved crucial for Buncrana, with McGonigle registering three scores from distance to swing the game in Buncrana’s favour. This was followed by a great score wide on the left hand side by Garbhan Friel to give Buncrana a three point lead with minutes remaining. Unfortunately an error by Oisin Doherty lead to a penalty for Termon which was duly converted, resulting in a draw. Buncrana must now focus on their final league game of the season, which will be versus Termon again, on the weekend of 1st/2nd December at the Scarvey.

Lotto: The winning numbers in the €3,200 jackpot lotto draw, which took place on Tuesday 13th November in O’Flaherty’s Bar on the Main Street, are as follows:

7, 15, 16, 27.

There was no jackpot winner that week, however prizes of €20 go to each of the following participants:

Neil Doherty, Tirmacool

Gerard Bonner, Grianan Park

M. Kavanagh, 2 Castle Avenue

Liam Poet, c/o Bookies

David McConnell, Allendale
