THE OWNERS of Ostan na Rosann Hotel says it is closing for the winter – and will re-open again in the Spring.

They issued a statement as 16 members of staff staged a picket seeking almost €10k in wages.

However the hotel said in a statement: “Due to the current climate we will be closing the hotel for the winter season.

“The hotel will reopen in the spring for business with our entertainment book full and some great deals and offers for everyone to avail of.

“We apologise for any problems caused and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who continued to support us through our first year. Your support has been deeply appreciated. Look forward to the spring and Thank you all again.”
