FAT CHEF SLIM LOSES FIVE STONE – ON THE RUN!

Martin is a shadow of his former self!

An overweight chef who shed a gut-busting five stone has revealed the secret to his weight-loss – midnight jogging!

Martin Anderson, who is now known as Fat Chef Slim, has trimmed down from 19 stone 6 pounds to just 14 stone 6 pounds since January.

Popular Martin, 45, from Letterkenny, admits the last straw came for him when his health insurer put his policy up by €19 a month.

Martin says he was really up against it because he cooks and eats for a living.

“Most chefs have to test their food al day and so they find the pounds piling on very easily if they don’t exercise.

“I wasn’t exercising and eating so much food that I never stood a chance of losing weight.

“So that’s when I decided that after eating and tasting food all day I had to exercise at night time.

“People would pass me going home late at night and me out walking and jogging after midnight in the dark but it was the only time I got to do it,” he laughed.

Martin, who runs the Crest Cookery School, has gone from size 44 trousers to where he can now fit into a size 34.

He now ignores the size XXXL shirts and can pick large and even medium shirts sometimes.

“I used to shop by size and it never matter what the clothes looked like or their colour. Now I can actually pick the clothes I want to wear,” he said.

Martin has written a book about his slimming experiences called Fat Chef Slim – Recipes From The Journey, which will be available shortly.

And he is not the first to say that “if I can do it, then anyone can.”

“I just made up my mind I had enough. I think everyone who is overweight gets to that point but the secret is to keep with it.

“Take one day at a time, watch what you eat and exercise. It’s not rocket science and it works. Believe me I know now,” he said.
