Redcastle United                   3-1                   Aileach FC

In an entertaining game the home side were first to show when Martin Farren fed Charlie McCormick who headed the ball down into the path of Gary Collett but he fired wide.

Aileach replied with Anthony Doherty breaking from midfield and when he rounded keeper McCole he looked destined to score but Seamus Doherty got back to nick the ball off his toes.

Gavin Doherty then fired over for the visitors from twenty yards. The home side broke the deadlock on 18 minutes when McCormick flicked the ball on for Collett to run on and fire low past Kevin McDermott from the edge of the area.

A poor kick out by McDermott fell to Eamon Donnelly but his attempted lob drifted over.Aileach replied with Gavin Doherty heading a Darren McMonagle cross over the bar.

They got back on terms before the interval when a Conor Harkin shot was parried by McCole and Gavin Doherty followed up to slot home.

Redcastle started the better in the second period with Collett seeing his effort crash off the bar.

Darragh McConway then collected a kick out and fed Terry McColgan but McDermott advanced to smother.

Cathal Faulkner then got on the end of a Liam Davenport corner but headed at McDermott.

Redcastle regained the lead on 70 minutes when Donnelly fed McColgan and he fired low past McDermott from 15 yards.

The home side continued to be on top and in a quick break in the final minute Donnelly released Kevin Toner who in turn fed McColgan to drill low past McDermott.
