Donegal-Daily-2A very successful Minor Board Presentation Night was held in the Mt. Errigal Hotel on Sunday.

Special thanks to Rory Kavanagh and Kevin Rafferty for coming along with Sam Maguire. There was over 300 in attendance to celebrate what was another hugely successful year for the Minor Board. Alan O’Connell was named Minor Board Person of the Year.

Kilcar native Christy Gillespie has been appointed as the Boys Minor football team manager for 2013. Having won 4 Senior Championships with Kilcar as well as Cumann na mBunscoil titles with Scoil Cholmcille and Termon, he will bring a wealth of experience to the role.

The dates for the two semi finals and county final of Scór Sinsir were decided at a recent meeting of coiste scór Dhún na nGall. The first semi final will take place in Gleann Fhinne on Friday 15th February at 7.30pm and the second semi final will be held in Burt on Saturday 16th February at 7.30pm. The county final of Scór Sinsir will be held in Gleann tSúilí on Friday 22nd February. Anyone interested in taking part on behalf of the club are asked to contact Ofifigeach Chultúrtha & Teanga, Fergus McGee on 086 854 4445.

Anyone that wants to take part in “Last Person Standing” Fundraiser, contact Paul McGovern asap as it will start in less than 2 weeks (Allianz Leagues) and only fully paid up people will be allowed to take part. Entry fee is €10. Rules on club Facebook page.

The U6/U8 hurling and camoige is starting again in the LYIT Friday week the 25th January at 6:30pm to 7:45pm. The U10 hurlers are starting again in the Aura this Wed 23rd at 7pm to 8pm. The U10/U12 camoige training resumed again in the convent gym last Wed 16th at 7pm to 8pm. The U12 hurlers resume in the Aura at 7pm to 8pm last Thursday 17th. All new players welcome. Cost €3 per session

Training for the U14 girl’s football team for 2013 has started in the Game On indoor Astro Turf Centre at Lisnennan (Old Unifi Plant) on Wednesday’s at 6pm sharp (please arrive 10 mins early). This is open to all girls born in 1999 & 2000. The indoor sessions will run for 7 weeks until the end of Feb and each session will cost €3 per person.

Managers wanting to book days and times for training should contact Paul McGovern (086-8114151 or paulmagoo@eircom.net) to book their slot. Please try to stick to the same slots your team previously used.

There were two match 3 winners in this week’s Lotto draw and they win €50 each. Numbers this week are: 14-17-18-21. Noel Keavney, Drumany (card) and Noel doherty, Pluck (Adrian). Winnings can be collected from Blake’s Bar. Next week’s jackpot is €2,825.

We extend our sympathies to the Gallagher and Larkin families Lower Main St. on the bereavement.
