Lotto & 100+ Club
There was no winning sequence in this weeks Lotto but the winner of the lucky dip was the Patrick McGowan, Mayfield who wins €30. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €1,600. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 2nd February – Samuel Patterson, 9th February – Liam Kelly, 16th February – Paul Bradley and 23rd February – Kieran Bradley.
Names are still being taken for the 100+ Club for the coming year. New members are welcome to join. Weekly cash prizes and entry into our end of season draw are just some of the incentives for 100+ Club members. Please contact any executive member should you wish to join up.
Registration Night
There will be a registration night in the the clubhouse this Wednesday 30th January from 7.30pm for all underage and adult members. Adult membership costs €30 per person and there is a special concession rate of €50 for couples (an adult and their partner/husband/wife). Underage registration costs €10 per child or a maximum of €20 for a family. The Sam Maguire cup will also be in attendance on the night. New members are welcome to come along and join the club.
Senior Ladies Team Manager
Any club member interested in managing the Senior Ladies for the 2013 season should get in contact with club chairman Andy Doherty on (087) 6843311 as soon as possible.
All Ireland Painting
The club has a special limited edition hand painted picture of Michael Murphy lifting the Sam Maguire and this is currently on display in Bradleys shop. Lines are still on sale at €2 each to enter the draw for this great prize.
Minor Board
Well done to everyone who took part in the foundation coaching course held last weekend and thanks to Alice and Charlie for making the tea and refreshments on Saturday.
There is still a coaching vacancy remaining for the U16 Girls team. Anyone interested in coaching this team should contact Stephen Gallagher on (087) 2054484.
The special coaching workshop will now go ahead on Tuesday 12th February from 8.00pm to 9.30pm at the clubhouse. This is on the topic ‘Getting Fit For Sport’. This years minor panel are asked to attend along with all underage coaches. Anyone else who wishes to attend contact Stephen Gallagher on (087) 2054484. Spaces are limited to 40 persons.
All parents and guardians should be aware that a new rule came has come into force from GAA headquarters making it mandatory to use a mouth guard in all matches and training sessions from the beginning of 2013. This is for all underage grades up to and including minor. It should be noted that players will not be allowed to play without mouth guards so it is now an essential part of a players kit.
Night at the Races
The club will be holding a ‘Night at the Races’ on Saturday the 16th February in Brownes.
Zumba
Zumba classes now take place at the clubhouse on Monday mornings at 10.00am and Wednesdays at 7.00pm. Price of class is €5 per person. All are welcome.
Clubhouse Open for Activities
The upstairs room in the clubhouse is currently available for use for any classes/activities (for example zumba, pilates, dancing classes etc). Times are flexible and reasonable rates apply.
