DONEGAL LADIES GAA TEAMIT WAS A disappointing result for the Donegal Ladies senior team in Bundoran on Sunday.

In what were tough playing conditions plenty of optimism should remain for the players as some terrific periods of play showed great dominance in the game.

Laois however collected maximum points from their trip to Donegal as the Leinster outfit claimed a 1-16 to 1-9 victory.

Karen Guthrie scored 1-1 for Donegal early in the second half but Ciara Burke responded with a goal for Laois and that proved to be the pivotal score.

The Donegal girls can take great heart from the match ahead of next weekend’s clash with Dublin.

Meanwhile ‘Maith Sibh’ to Loreto Milford on their Ulster quarter final win over Castleblayney on a score line of 2.07 to 1.08.

In a very tense game the girls put in a great performance. The girls will face Carrickmacross in the Semi Final.
