GARDAI INVESTIGATE ROAD CRASHES

Garda AccidentGARDAI are investigating a number of road crashes this morning, all believed to have been caused by black ice.

The scene has been cleared after a single vehicle crash on the main Ballyshannon to Donegal Town road near Ballintra earlier.

There was also a single vehicle crash near Burt.

A Garda spokesman has urged caution on the roads over the next few days because of sub-zero temperatures at night.

Whilst most roads are frost free, roads with lying surface water could cause difficulties, said the spokesman.
