GAA NEWS: FOUR MASTERS CLUB NOTES

Four Masters Club Notes

Lotto Results: There were two €50 winners in the Annual Lotto for Week 33. They were Jon Gearey, C/O Linda’s Krusty Kitchen and Eamonn Gorrell, Ardeskin Heights. The numbers drawn were 10, 15, 22, 24, with next weeks jackpot now standing at €1,800.

 

U14 & Minor: The U14 Boys football team continued their preparation for the upcoming season with a challenge game against Kinlough on Sunday. The boys came away with a win on a scoreline of 5-8 to 1-8; with Ben Sweeney, Ciaran Monaghan and Cathal Canavan playing well. Training continues every Monday and Thursday at six o’clock in Tir Conail Park. New players are always welcome to come along and try Gaelic football. The U14 league starts this Sunday, with the A team playing Aodh Ruadh away, and the B team playing Naomh Ultan away. Both games throw in 12 o’clock. The Minor boys played Killybegs in a challenge game on Sunday, going down 2-08 to 2-10 in a closely fought game, with Darren O’Doherty and Dillion Ward playing well. The Minors league starts this Sunday away to Bundoran, throw in at 2 o’clock. Training for this age group continues every Monday and Wednesday at 7.15.

 

Course: The Club are hosting a Level 1 coaching course this week, starting this Friday 1st of March. The course starts at 6.30 sharp in the Abbey Vocational School with coaches asked to be early for registration, as it will finish at 9 o’clock. The course will take place on the Saturday in Tir Chonaill and the next Friday/Saturday at the same times.

 

Ulster Vocational Schools: Well done to the AVS U14 and half team who beat Clady last Friday in Strabane. They now play in the Ulster Vocational schools final next Wednesday week in Clones.

 

Hurling & Camogie: Resumes Friday 8th March, Tirchonnail Park. Registration will be available on the evening U8-U10s 6-7pm (€20) and U12s and above 7-8pm (€30). All equipment supplied so if you have never tried hurling or camogie before, why not come along and have a go?

 

Club Membership: Michael Martin will be accepting membership every Monday at 9pm – 9.45pm for the month of March in the Abbey Hotel.
