GAA NEWS: NAOMH MHUIRE CLUB NOTES

Registration night for Senior, Ladies, Underage and anybody wanting to become a club member will be held on Thursday 28th of February and Thursday 7th March from 8:00pm to 9:30pm in the club house. Registration is required to be eligible for tickets later in the year. 30 euro for adults and 15 for kids. It is important that all players are registered for insurance purposes for the year ahead.

There will be a Bord na nOg meeting in the banks on Friday the 1st from 8.30 – 9.30. The Minors begin their season this Sunday with a home game against Dungloe in the banks with throw-in at 2pm

Under-age training times: Under 6 training takes place every Saturday morning at 11.15am in the Aislann. Under 8s training takes place every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am in the Aislann. Under 10 training will continue this Saturday from 12pm to 1pm at the gym in the Rosses Community School. Under 12s training continues on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7pm in the RCS. The fixtures for all club under-age games for 2013 have been announced and are available on the club website.

The Intermediate Championship had to be redrawn with the senior and reserves now paired against the winners of Newtown/Fanad in the Quarter Finals.

Peil na mBan; The development camp is now in week 4 and 24 girls are settling in well and being put through their paces by club coaches with Tuesday 5-6pm in RCS gym the girls in action again. Keep an eye out for the girls selling Guess the score lines for the Donegal v Kerry NFL Div 1 game as we require a wee bit of funding to help costs for the camp. Girls from u14, u16 and minors are training in Aislann Rann na feirste 7-8pm on Wednesday nights.

Preparation plans for outdoor training and a schedule and timetables are being drawn up and hopefully we can get all girls in our club area out as we have teams at u12, u13, u14, u16 and minors entered for competitions this year! Our Club, Our Standards, Our Victory!

The Bord na nOg are holding a 5k run/walk on good Friday. More details will follow in the coming weeks. Jive Alive has been launched and confirmed for the Aislann on March 12th/13th.
