RAPHOE MEN’S HOCKEY TEAM JUST MISS OUT ON FINAL

RAPHOE Men narrowly missed out out the Trophy final after an epic battle with Portadown on Saturday.

When Jamie Wright fired the visitors into a 2-0 lead, it looked like Raphoe just weren’t going to have a chance of progressing to a third trophy this season.

But then Raphoe staged an incredible comeback with Gavin Lecky hitting two before Lee Coll struck to make it 3-2 to the home side.

The home crowd must have thought this season was Raphoe’s.

But Portadown did the same thing to Raphoe – coming back to hit two late goals and snatch the tie 4-3.
