Kimberly Harris and Shane Gallagher, aka Rising colours were popular winners

A huge crowd turned up at the Central Hotel in Donegal Town for what proved to be one of the most popular and keenly-contested Opportunity Knocks Finals for many years.

With a first prize of €5,000 competition was very tough between the acts.

But in the end the winners were the popular local duo Rising Colours comprising of Shane Gallagher and Kimberly Harris.

Voting was very tight

Just three points behind the winners was another duo, Zara Gillespie and Michael Duffy.

Popular singer/songwriter Conal Herron came third.

But the judges on the night were blown away by the standard of talent on display.

Other acts included Red Harmon, Breid Marie Byrne, Paddy ‘Seahorse’ Molloy, Tom Wolf, Serial Twin, Keri Marie Kelly, The Noisy Neighbours, Bridheen Caldwell and Noel Ward, Gary Hynes and Megan McGarvey.
