BITE VICTIM PADDY SET TO LEAD DONEGAL U-21s IN ULSTER FINAL TONIGHT

PADDY MCBREARTYALL roads lead to Brewster Park in Enniskillen tonight (Wed) as Donegal bid to defeat Cavan in the U-21 football championship final.

Holders Cavan had nine points to spare in their semi-final win over Down, while Donegal had a nail-biting 2-11 to 0-15 win over Derry.

Much of the attention tonight will be on Donegal senior squad star Paddy McBrearty, the victim of a biting incident in the senior league clash with Dublin in Ballybofey on Sunday.

He was later treated at Letterkenny General Hospital.

However the injury is healing and Paddy has indicated that he is fit to play under the floodlights in Enniskillen this evening.

Having hit five of Donegal’s points in that semi-final win over Derry – and set up a goal with some magical play –  that can only be good news for the county U-21 side.
