A Killygordan man has been fined €200 for trying to get into the home of his ex-partner to see his children.
George O’Brien of The Cross, Killygordan called to the house at Beechwood Grove in Lifford at 3am.
Gardai arrived and told him to leave but he refused.
He was then arrested and appeared at this morning’s sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Solicitor Patsy Gallagher said the couple had enjoyed a happy relationship but that “a lot of years had gone into this night.”
Judge Paul Kelly fined O’Brien €200 under Section 8 of the Public Order Act.
