Letterkenny student Niall Foody has been honoured at a gala ball in New York.

Niall has attended a gala ball in the Waldorf hotel in New York, where he was representing his county, country and his school at the annual award ceremony of the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship programme.

Niall mingled with some of the leading business names in the world such as MasterCard and United Airlines and many more.

Niall had to make a presentation to the audience on his business and is hopeful this will be an opening for him into the US market.

The 16 year old’s invention, You Key In, allows people to see their keyholes in the dark thanks to Niall’s simple but amazing invention.

The Errigal College student, who was accompanied by mum Claire, was presented with $1,000 and a crystal trophy.

Niall will return Friday to Ireland and Errigal College would like to congratulate Niall and to wish him a safe trip back.
