VOICE STAR SHANE DISMISSES JAMELIA’S LAST INSULT AS HE PREPARES FOR FINAL

Voice of Ireland star Shane McLaughlin has today brushed aside a stinging attack from judge Jamelia that he should not be in the final of tonight’s live show.Shane McLaughlin

The Downings man has been attacked by the English pop star several times during the RTE series.

And this morning Jamelia let fly again in a thinly-veiled attack on Shane, 28.

She said “There are acts that have left us that should still be here and there is one act this week that shouldn’t be in the competition.

“Anyone who watches the show will know who I am talking about,” she said.

Shane has refused to comment on the attack.

But sources close to his family say they are fuming that Jamelia has constantly tried to put Shane down.

“Shane is not disappointed for himself but for his family, friends and fans across Donegal and the entire country.

“He can take it but Jamelia has constantly put Shane down despite all the hard work and support his family, friends and fans have given him,” said the source.

The family source also said that Shane will be happy to invite Jamelia to Donegal when the show is over!

Despite being an 8/1 outsider by bookies, Shane told Donegal Daily that he thinks the final could come down to the wire between himself and Kelly.

Despite some nervous early performances, his performance on last week’s show was his best yet.

Now Shane says he plans to give it his all.

“I think Kelly is my main competition because Cork has really gotten behind her. But the people of Donegal have been fantastic and I am asking them to give it one last push now.

“I would dearly love to win the show. It’s out of my control now but I will give it my best,” he said.

So get voting tonight Donegal and the rest of the country! Go Shane!
