DD LOCAL – MANORCUNNINGHAM NOTES

Baby & Me Event:

Lagan Primary Care Team are hosting a one day ‘showcase’ where practical, Educational Information is presented in an Interactive, Friendly, Fun, Colourful, Informative Manner.dd news

Mums, dads and expecting parents from Raphoe, St Johnston Carrigans, Manorcunningham and Newtoncunningham are invited to attend their local ‘Baby and Me’ Event!!

Internationally renowned Chef Brian MacDermott will provide a cookery demonstration especially designed for you and your family!!.

There will be a stand on Baby Massage and Toddler Yoga

Guest speakers will provide accurate information on positive mental health and well being, looking after you and baby, child safety and getting the right diet for family life, amongst others.

Stands will provide information on benefits, home safety, car seat usage and making blinds safe

Local playgroups and Family Resource Centres and support programmes will be in attendance

Local health professionals will also be available on the day at the event.

There will be Spot prizes and a special door prize.

Entry is free.

 

 

First Aid:

Hi everyone if anyone looking to do a Refresher First Aid Course we are taking names here in the Resource Centre. You can PM me or ring me on 0749157927 it will be 2 evenings for 3 hours each evening (6 hours in total) hopefully starting in the next week or so thanks.

 

Ray Presbyterian Church:

Want to Reconnect with God & others? Monthly Evening Service in Ray Presbyterian Church, Manorcunningham. Live music, personal stories, life-related Bible Teaching. Informal, welcoming & open to all denominations & none. Supper served after. Starts 7.30pm 12th May 2013 & every second Sunday in month. For more info. Youth Club:

The Link Youth Club will be on, on Saturday the 11th of May @ 7.30pm entry €2 (secondary school age group)This runs every second Saturday in the month.

All denominations welcome.

 

AGM:

The Manorcunningham Community Development Association are holding their AGM in the Resource Centre on 21st May 2013 @ 8pm. Everyone is welcome, please come out and support your local community centre.

 

Keep fit:

There are keep fit dancing Zumba style classes on Wednesday evenings from 8.30 until 9.30pm

 

Hall Hire:

There are great facilities here at the Manorcunningham Resource Centre. We have a huge main hall with stage ideal for plays/concerts and birthday parties(including bouncy castle & full use of kitchen facilities. On the unfortunate event of a funeral we can cater for tea/soup & sandwiches, so the family can take comfort in having one less thing to worry about during their sad loss. There is also smaller meeting rooms upstairs and a computer suite. A lift is also installed and is available for people with difficulties using the stairs. We also have Fax and photocopying facilities. If anyone would like more information on any of the facilities or activities please call on 0749157927.
