FINN VALLEY AC NEWS: TERESA AND PAURIC IMPRESS IN FOREIGN FIELDS

Teresa McGloinTeresa McGloin ran her best race ever when returning a personal best in a high profile 10k in Bristol 34-22 getting close to breaking the 34 minute barrier which would begin to put her in a different league nationally.

She finished 7th in an event won by Gemma Steel a London Olympian in 32.15 .

In the US Tori Pena got her outdoor season off the ground 4.45 close at a Moscow B standard of 4.50.

Also in the USA Pauric McLaughlin from Convoy a scholarship athlete at Lewiston,Idaho was 5th in a 800m race with 1.53 odd.

Martin Irwin in Limerick a 10k in 35.03 while local attention focused on  W 10k in which 2700 walkers /runners participated best of the Valley entry Gerard Gallagher 34.26 in 6th .

This week its Donegal Childrens Games at Valley 6-30 and a further series of Donegal T/F at Lifford our first visit to the venue in years a new track having been installed .Entries for Ulster under 9-13 close this week.
