VIGILANTES ON PATROL AGAIN AS FRIENDS JOIN VIOLENT CRIMINAL IN WEST DONEGAL

CASEY MORGAN: ‘EXTREMELY VIOLENT’ – SAYS PSNI

GROUPS of residents in west Donegal are organising patrols in a bid to prevent a violent criminal harming local people.

Wanted Casey Morgan, 18, (pictured) is living in a caravan in Burtonport and was spotted several times there today as well as in nearby Dungloe.

Local people’s concerns about his intentions have intensified in the past 24 hours as he has been joined by a number of other men from Belfast.

His friend – rapist Joe McCabe, 29 – is back behind bars in the North after giving himself up to police there.

But Morgan has stayed in Donegal despite also breaching bail conditions in Belfast.

The PSNI say Morgan “poses a high risk of causing serious harm” to others.

Residents say they are ‘extremely concerned’ at Morgan’s continued presence in the area. He has been staying in a caravan parked at the side of a house 1km from Burtonport pier.

“We will be on patrol again tonight,” vowed one resident.

“We know Gardai are monitoring him but we need to give some assurances to our community.

“The biggest concern is about who these other people are who are with him. We’ve no idea who they are, other than they are from the North.”

The PSNI is working to put together the necessary paper work to have Morgan extradited.

However locals say they haven’t time for that.

“We don’t want him here,” said another resident.

“He’d be better off to clear off; tempers are rising around here over this.”
