RED HUGHS CLUB NOTES red hughs

Dance with Johnny Brady

Country music star Johnny Brady will play in Jackson Hotel this Friday 17th May with proceeds going to Red Hughs GAA. Doors open at 9.30pm. There will be a Jiving Competition on the night also from 10.00pm. Tickets are currently on sale from any executive member and in Bradley’s shop priced at €15. All supporters, club members and non club members are welcome to attend this evening of music, dance and craic.

 

Lotto & 100+ Club

There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Brid Alexander, Ballinacor matched 3 numbers 8,2,3 to win €50. Numbers drawn were 8,2,3,5,7,4,6,1. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €2,300. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 18th May – Tommy McGlinchey, 25th May – Gerard McColgan, 1st June – Samuel Patterson and 8th June – Liam Kelly.

 

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Cliodhna Muldoon who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

 

Seniors & Reserves

The two sides played N. Padraig, Lifford at home on Saturday evening with both teams winning their games. The reserves put in an impressive performance in their game. They lead from start to finish and dominated the game. The goals came from Damien Wilson and Christopher Bonner with some great displays by some of the young players. Final score: Red Hughs 2-11 N Padraig 2-4. The seniors started their game very well and lead by four points at half time. The lads then did enough to grind out the win in the second half to take a vital two points. Peadar McGlinchey, Damien Browne, Calvin Bradley and Martin Bonner got the scores with solid displays throughout the team. Final score: Red Hughs 0-8 N. Padraig 0-4.

 

Both teams travel to Mountcharles to take on St Nauls next Sunday 19th May with the senior at 3.00pm and reserve at 1.30pm. All come out and support the teams.

 

Senior Ladies

The ladies have no game fixed for this weekend.

 

Minor Board

There is an U8 blitz in Glenfin this Saturday 18th May with bus leaving the pitch at 10.30am.

 

The U12 A & B teams take on Buncrana at home next Monday 20th May at 7.00pm.

 

The U14 boys take on N. Colmcille, Newtown at home this Wednesday 15th May at 7.00pm.

 

Underage training continues this Saturday from 11.00-12.00 noon for all other children. U12 girls training is also on Saturday from 11.00-12.00 noon. All new players are still welcome.

 

U14 girls training continues at the pitch on Wednesday from 5.30pm to 7.00pm. All girls are asked to attend. All new players still welcome.
