The crash scene at Letterkenny this morning

One man has been injured following a head-on collision in Letterkenny.

The elderly man has been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital following the crash which happened at Ballyraine Road at the rear of the LYIT just before 10.30am.

The emergency services were on the scene quickly and the driver of the Ford Fiesta was taken by ambulance to hospital.

The other man involved in the crash appeared unhurt.

It is not known how badly injured the elderly man driving the Ford Fiesta is.

One of the cars struck a wall after the collision.
