Jason arrives home to be met by his family

This is the moment Mt Everest hero Jason Black has waited for since he left Donegal six weeks ago.

The Letterkenny man was hailed a hero by the people who mean most to him – his wife and family when he touched down at Dublin airport earlier today.JASON_BLACK_DONEGAL

Wife Sharon and four children Laura, Kate, Billy and Ella even made their dad a poster telling him how proud they were of him.

Jason looked fresh and fit after his adventure of a lifetime conquering the massive mountain.

People managed to keep up to date with his adventure thanks to his warts and all online blog.

Jason told Donegal Daily “I have enjoyed every moment of my great adventure but nothing compares to seeing your family and arriving home in your country again.

“I am looking forward to getting back to Donegal and to meeting the rest of my family and friends.”

A special welcome home will be given to Jason at Market Square in Letterkenny tonight at 7pm and everyone is welcome.
