Good Luck: The very best of luck to Jim, Rory and all the team on Sunday against Down in Breffni Park, from all at Four Masters.

Congratulations: Huge well done to the Four Masters Senior team for an incredible turn around on Sunday 16th June against Glenties. It took incredible resolve to step-up and battle on and then to be victorious at the end. Great stuff boys!

Hurling/Camogie: It was a busy few days for Bord na nÓg. On Thursday 13th June, Tir Chonnail Park held a National School blitz for camogie and hurling with over 40 children attending. This was a fabulous morning. It is planned to run a league of blitzes for National Schools for the new school year with trophies to be won, Scoil Aodh Rua agus Nuala currently hold the camogie trophy and St Francis the hurling, so start practicing now for next year’s prize. Thanks must go to Yvonne Byrne from the Camogie Association based in Croke Park who helps organise this event for our schools each year. Friday 14th June saw the James McAllister Memorial Trophy with a great turnout of over 80 children of all ages playing camogie and hurling in memory of a man who loved hurling. The children were grouped into “county” teams for the 10s and above with Kilkenny winning the competition. Young Conor McAllister presented his Grandfather’s trophy to winning team captain, Dione Carr. The under 8s had a mini-competition and all received medals. We were delighted to welcome the Nicky Rackard Cup together with the Donegal hurling team who presented the medals and trophy on the night. A very big thank you to Ray Durack, Donegal Manager and all the team who came to Tir Chonnail Park on a very wet Friday evening. Thank you too, to all the parents who supported and made tea and cakes for the very welcome after match cup of tea! Saturday morning (15th June) saw the final Academy for 4-6 year olds, again a great turnout for what has been a great event for all involved. The children were presented with hurley’s and certificates to go with the footballs they have already received. Again, many thanks to all the parents who have helped with tea/coffee throughout the 11 weeks. Sunday morning saw the U14 camogie girls heading to Convoy for the third in their series of blitzes, again doing very well and showing great skills. Also, on Sunday the U12 skills competition took place in Letterkenny Gaels, Leo Dunphy. Ciaran McGrory and Dylan Thomas represented The Four Masters with Leo Dunphy coming 4th overall. A very well done to Leo. All the boys will represent Donegal at Croke Park on the 9th July. 5/6th class camogie girls are away to Burt on Wednesday evening – we wish them all the best. Up-coming games – Camogie: 5/6th class v St Eunans, 3/4th class blitz in St Eunans; 1/2/3 years AVS v MacCumhaills – all dates will be confirmed. Hurling and Camogie training for all children aged under 10 takes place on Friday evenings 6-7pm and 12s and over from 7-8pm.

Ladies: U14 girls meet Bundoran on Thursday evening (20th June) in Tir Conaill Park, throw in 7pm. The U10 girls travel to Ballyshannon tomorrow evening to participate in an U10 blitz. They will also be taking part in a mixed U10 memorial blitz in Tir Conaill Park this Wednesday 19th June and the following Wednesday. Best of luck to all players.

U14 Football: Boys lost to Dungloe in the Championship. The boys made a great come back in the second half to take the lead but late goals made the difference. The boys put in a great effort all year and were very unlucky with injuries.

Under 10’s: The Kevin Faulkner Memorial Tournament for boys and girls under 10 will be held over the next two Wednesdays at Tirchonaill Park at 6pm ,the final being held on Wed 26th July. Good luck to all the players!
