The death has taken place of one of Donegal’s most-loved citizens.

Annie McIntyre from The Glebe, Stranorlar, celebrated her 100th birthday last July.

On the occasion she was joined by more than 200 grandchildren from as far away as Australia for her celebrations.

Her proud family even organised a Meet & Greet for all the McIntyre cousins in the Forge Bar, Villa Rose Hotel.

The highlight of the evening was a This Is Your Life presentation recalling Annie’s wonderful life.

Annie, who had 17 children, passed away yesterday.

Donegal Daily would like to express out sympathy with Annie’s wide circle of family and friends.

Her funeral takes place tomorrow morning (Wed) at 11am in St.Mary’s Church in Stranorlar followed by funeral mass at Crossroads Cemetary.
