GAA NEWS – GLENSWILLY U14s PIPPED BY CARNDONAGH IN FINAL

Congratulations to our county lads and management team on the victory over a dogged Down team in tough conditions in Breffni on Sunday.Glenswilly GAA Club

Well done to our own,” captain fantastic” Michael Murphy and St Michaels ace Colm Mc Fadden on their match winning scores and overall contribution to the victory.

Is it fair that these players along with their team colleagues are now asked to compete against eachother in what is, essentially, a must win in the Championship for their club teams on Saturday evening? The game is fixed for The Bridge, Dunfanaghy on Saturday 29th. The reserve team throw in at 6 o’clock and seniors at 7.30pm.

Hard luck to our U-14 team and management who lost out in the final to Carndonagh in Lifford on Friday evening last. Hopes were high after their impressive victory over St Eunans 48 hours earlier in the semi-final in O’Donnell park, but alas it was not to be. However, this team can hold their heads high and the club are assured of a wealth of talent that is progressing from this squad for the future. Well done Lads.

Good luck and have fun to all competing in the clubs 5k on Tuesday 25th June. A tremendous amount of work has been put into this, and we wish it every success and hopefully good weather.

Lotto winning no’s this week were 2,8,16 and24. Match 3 winner Orla McDaid New Mills.Next week sellers are Colm Carberry and Eamonn Moy.Jackpot is €2540.00.Sellers for 6th July are Eamonn Murray and John Doherty.

Our third team recorded a victory over Glenfin in their last league game? of the season in div.5 on Monday evening 24th of June. Well done on your committment lads over the campaign.

The club would like to offer best wishes to all our young members who have just completed their exams and we wish you all the best on your journey into third level or the work place, what ever you decide. Good Luck to all.
