Lotto & 100+ Club

There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Luke Kelly, Edenoughill won €30 in Lucky Dip. Numbers drawn were 4,3,5,2,1,8,6,7. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €2,700. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 20th July – Cathal Doherty, 27th July – Tony Gallagher and 3rd August – Paddy Kelly.

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Corey Gallagher, Dromore who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

Seniors & Reserves

Both teams were in league action at the weekend in Carndonagh. The reserves gave a good display to win their game fairly comfortably despite fielding an understrength team. They lead the all the way through and there was again some very good performances from the young (and not so young) players on the team. Well done to all involved. Final score: Red Hughs 2-11 Carndonagh 1-7.

The senior game was a very tight and tense affair with the lads playing well for the most part and they lead at half time 1-5 to 0-7. The second half was very close with Red Hughs having plenty of possession and were very unfortunate to lose by a single point in the end. Final score: Red Hughs 1-10 Carndonagh 1-11. This was a disappointing result with the lads probably being the best team throughout and deserved something from the game. There were plenty of good points in the performance though to take into the upcoming games.

Both sides are in action again next Saturday 20th July. They are fixed to play Downings away with the reserve game at 6.00pm and the senior at 7.30pm. Good luck to both teams and all come out and support the boys in these important games.

Senior Ladies

The ladies are fixed to play Urris away this Wednesday the 17th July at 7.30pm in the 1st round of the championship. Good luck to the girls.

The U-14 Girls play St Eunan’s away in Letterkenny on Tuesday.

Minor Board

Well done to the U8 teams who took part in the blitz at the pitch on Saturday morning.

The U12 boys team have training next Monday the 22nd July at 7.00pm.

The U16 boys are down for two fixtures in the coming days – this Friday 19th July they are fixed to play Burt at home at 7.30pm and on Monday they are fixed to play Gweedore at home also at 7.30pm. Best of luck to the lads. These fixtures are subject to change so keep an eye on club Facebook page for any updates.

Well done to the U18 boys on a great victory over Glenfin in the preliminary round 1st leg of the championship last week on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-7. The second leg is on this Wednesday the 17th July at 7.30pm away in Glenfin. All come out and support the lads.
