With weather more like the tropics than Dunfanaghy everyone is enjoying the great spell with some brilliant golf thrown in.GOLF LOGO

Wednesday saw Shane Greer come to the fore again with a superb score of 41 points to lead all the way. Shane has been playing very steady of late and has been bubbling under for some time. Not to be outdone Kevin Ward cruised home with a steady 40 points to lift second place.

Considering that Dunfanaghy is playing pretty firm at present these are good scores. Donal Boyle took the gross again with a steady score and Hugh Coll picked up third place.

Last Friday we had an open 4BBB competition and Martin Collins and Gerry Lynn crushed the field with 46 points. The nearest was mQuinn and P Wilson on 43 points. A Speers-Cook and L Armstrong got third place with 39 points.

Saturday was an Open Singles Stableford competition and 39 points was sufficient for John McGlynn to take top honours over Ray Finn on 38 points. Sean Duffy Jnr just missed out with 37 points but third place is still good shooting. The Gross went to Ryan McGettigan.

Sunday was the monthly medal stroke competition and Conor Moore left the rest behind with a brilliant score of 64 net. Not to be outdone by his son the previous day Sean Duffy Snr took second place with a 69 net Third place went to Brendan Kelly on 71 net. The gross went to Brian Kilfedder. Well done Brian.
